The vision of Broward Dance Academy is to share our love of dance and to provide an energetic, supportive and joyful experience to all our students. We strive to offer every student a professional and personal training environment. We offer styles from Classic Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. We also offer Adult Fitness, and Zumba.
Broward Dance Academy prides itself on having the most innovative, experienced, and diverse instructors that South Florida has to offer.

Mr. Anthony
Studio Owner and Artistic Director

Anthony Raphael hails to us from Southern California. He’s a graduate from CSU Fullerton with a Bachelor Degree in Marketing/Finance and Dance & Theatrical Studies. In addition, he trained with LA Contemporary Theater, Qui Geometer Dance Company and the Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre. Anthony is also certified in Jazz and Contemporary dance by Dance Masters of America and has been performing and teaching both internationally and domestically for the past 11 years. Some of his credits include two national tours; Warner Brothers and Jonny Mann Singers and Dancers, music videos with MC Hammer and Samantha Fox, and a national commercial for Nestle Chocolate. Anthony has been a performer in the business for the past 23 years. To keep current in the teaching industry, he attends several Master Classes and Dance Clinics on a regular basis. Some of the workshops and teachers he has worked and trained with include: Sherry Zunker (Founder of River North Dance Co., Chicago), Harrison McEldowney, Mary Jo Irbe, Frank Chavez, Christine Kerber (Gus Giordano’s, Chicago), Judith Jamison (Artistic Director Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, NYC). Currently, he is the Recruitment Specialist for Royal Caribbean Cruises International, auditioning over 1,000 singers and dancers per year. Anthony is also the Founder and Artistic Director of Joi Street Dance Company, a repertory Jazz dance company right here in Fort Lauderdale Florida that rehearses at Broward Dance Academy.
Ms. Meredith

Meredith Costantini has lived in Ft. Lauderdale her whole life. She began dancing at age 3 and has been dancing at Broward Dance Academy since she was in 1st grade! Meredith has taken Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, and danced with BDA in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2 years in high school. She has worked as the Broward Dance Academy receptionist for the past 4 years. Meredith currently attends FAU and is studying Elementary Education.
Ms. Katina
Katina is happy and proud to be part of the Broward Dance Academy family. Katina comes to Broward Dance Academy from Michigan. She brings with her an extensive background in performance, choreography and instruction. Her performance credits include recording artist Kristine W. , Country Tonight, Legends in Concert, American Superstars and The Dream King, which she also choreographed, to name a few. She has choreographed, been on faculty and has taught master classes at some of the top dance studios in Las Vegas, Michigan and Florida. She has studied and performed with industry’s finest choreographers. Her style of teaching and choreography is invigorating and fresh. Katina’sstudents have won numerous awards in the nation’s top dance competitions. She is certified by Dance Masters of America in jazz and tap and also is a certified Zumba instructor. When she's not teaching, Katina enjoys spending time with her two sons, Alek and Joshua.

Mrs. Bella
Gabrielle Marie Gonzalez is an experienced classical ballet teacher. She has been trained in the Royal Academy of Dance, Ceccetti and Cuban methods of classical ballet. She has been given mentions of honor in all her endeavors as a professional ballerina and instructor. Her goal in life and in her classes is to teach children the joy of dancing and expressing themselves through such a beautiful art form.

Ms. Amy
Amy Peters is a senior who is studying dance at Nova SoutheasternUniversity. She has also studied dance at Palm Beach Atlantic University before coming to Nova. In 2007, Amy started learning dance at the University Center for the Performing Arts. She has studied with Eileen Hebron, Jin Young Lee, Kathleen Klein, Gaynelle Gosselin, Elana Lanczi, Katie Sopoci Drake, Daniela Wancier, Augusto Soledade and choreographer Heather Maloney. She had the great opportunity to be a part of Florida’s first Waterways Dance Project in March 2011. Later, Amy interned with the University School working with Toranika Washington, who is head of the dance department. An honoree recipient of the scholarship grant award for dance as well as the Dean’s List, Amy takes pleasure in learning about dance in Nova’s enriching environment. She has also performed in the Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant for three years, working with Christy and Jeff Crevier. Amy currently works for Broward Dance Academy, teaching ballet, tap and creative movement.

Ms. Nikki
Nikki Allred began dancing at the young age of 3 and hasn’t put her shoes down since! She is originally from New Mexico and came to the East coast after obtaining a BFA in dance from West TX A&M University. She has spent the past few years studying and performing in New York City, as well as performing throughout the country for multiple regional theatres. Some of her past and favorite credits include, “Carousel”-Louise (Cumberland County Playhouse), “42nd Street”-Lorraine/Peggy US (Prather Theatres and Fireside Theatre), “Girls Night the Musical”-Sharon (Hard Rock Paradise Live), “On the Town”-Ivy Smith, “Mame”-Gloria Upson (Broward Stage Door Theatre), and her newest favorite, “Chicago”-Roxie Hart (MUSE Arts Center.) Miss Allred enjoys being a member, as well as dance captain, of Joi Street Dance Company, under Anthony A. Raphael. Nikki also enjoys teaching and choreographing for dancers of all ages. She has worked with many different studios from New York to Michigan. She thoroughly enjoys working with the young artists of tomorrow and passing on her knowledge and passion for the art of dance.
Mr. Todd
BeMoved / Zumba / Jazz Progression / Tap
Todd Niles began his professional career over 25 years ago. He toured with Gus Giordano’s Jazz Dance Company for 2 seasons, followed by the national tours of Dancin’ and Cats under the direction of Bob Fosse and Andrew Lloyd Webber. He also performed extensively in videos, films, industrials and television with such artists as Michael Jackson, Debbie Allen and Bette Midler. Todd’s performing career ended abruptly at the age of 27 due to a serious back injury. From there he began teaching at The Lou Conte Dance Studio and assisting choreographers and directors on numerous projects. Todd has traveled to more than 20 countries performing, teaching and auditioning singers and dancers. He currently teaches BeMoved dance classes at the Royal Caribbean Production Studios and is teaching Lyrical and Jazz classes at the Broward Dance Academy in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Mrs. Katrina
Narrative Lyrical / Contemporary Fusion
Katrina Weaver received a B.A. in dance with a focus in education from Florida International University. She began her dance training at an early age as a student at Meg Segreto’s Dance Centre where she studied ballet, jazz and tap. She is currently a member of Karen Peterson & Dancers, a mixed ability modern dance company in Miami which promotes the work of dance artists both with and without disabilities. In addition to performing with the company, she is also an instructor for the youth dance enrichment program for ESE Dade County Public Schools facilitated each year by Karen Peterson & Dancers which focuses on providing instruction in dance and creative movement to students with disabilities. She is also a teaching artist with the organization Arts for Learning which places dance instructors in residencies in various schools, summer camps and other outreach programs in the Miami area.
